Zamil Shipyard works inside King Abdulaziz Port at Dammam, on the Gulf coast of Saudi Arabia. It is the shipyard arm of Zamil Offshore Services Company, part of Zamil Group Holding. The company runs yards on both coasts of the Kingdom: this one at Dammam, a second at Saudi Aramco's West Pier facility at Ras Tanura, and a third at Jeddah Islamic Port, the last of these repair only. The often quoted figures of more than 60 vessels built and delivered and more than 150 vessels repaired a year are totals across those three sites, and no split by yard is published.
Dammam both builds and repairs, and it also repairs offshore drilling rigs. Docking is by ship lift, which as of 2019 took vessels of up to 1,500 tonnes, 80 metres in length and 15 metres in beam. The order book that year covered seven Rolls-Royce UT 722-2 anchor handling tug supply vessels, a buoy handling vessel, three harbour tugs for the Saudi Ports Authority, two tugs for the Royal Saudi Navy and a diving support vessel.
In June 2022 a composite boat building line opened at Dammam under the Zamil Ribcraft name, following a technology transfer agreement with Ribcraft of the United Kingdom. It builds rigid inflatable boats in GRP from 4.8 to 12.5 metres for professional, commercial, government and leisure users, with expected capacity above 50 boats a year. The first two hulls were a 7.8 metre diving boat and a 6.8 metre rescue boat.
