Tallinn Shipyard OU is the Estonian yard of BLRT Repair Yards, the ship repair arm of BLRT Grupp, whose head office is in Tallinn. The group's two other repair yards are Western Shiprepair at Klaipeda in Lithuania and Turku Repair Yard at Naantali in Finland; only Tallinn's own facilities are described here.
The yard does repair work only, with no newbuilding and no ship recycling. Dry docking, afloat and voyage repairs, conversion, modernisation and retrofit are the lines of work, and naval and government projects are handled through a dedicated project management route.
Three floating docks are in service: dock 2 lifting 4,500 tonnes with one 5-tonne crane, dock 34 lifting 8,500 tonnes with two 5-tonne cranes, and dock 22 lifting 10,000 tonnes with two 10-tonne cranes. There is no graving dock at Tallinn. Vessels of up to 200 metres are repaired alongside, and about half the berth frontage is served with fresh water, compressed air and electrical power. Further lifting is by a 100-tonne floating crane and KAMAG platforms of 250 and 500 tonnes.
Certification is held by the Estonian company in its own right rather than under a group certificate: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, certified by LRQA, together with AQAP 2110 Edition D Version 1, the NATO quality assurance requirement for design, development and production.
