Seatrium Tuas Boulevard Yard

Tuas Boulevard Yard is Seatrium's largest Singapore yard, at Tuas View Extension in the west of the island. The company was renamed Seatrium Limited in 2023, having been Sembcorp Marine, and the operating entity at this site is Seatrium (SG) Pte. Ltd., whose registered activity is the building and repair of ships and other ocean-going vessels. The yard was built in two phases: Phase I covers 73.3 hectares, and Phase II a further 34.5 hectares, whose steel fabrication facility started up in the fourth quarter of 2015 and whose marine operations began in the first quarter of 2017. It is a separate site from Seatrium's Tuas Yard. Seven dry docks are in operation, rated from 150,000 to 500,000 dwt, giving total dry docking capacity of 1,550,000 dwt. The 500,000 dwt dock is laid out for jack-ups and semi-submersible rigs. One Phase I dock carries an intermediate gate so that it can be split, letting a smaller ship be worked at the entrance while work continues at the head, and it takes container ships of up to 18,000 TEU. One Phase II dock is dedicated to offshore rig building and repair. Seventeen berths serve the two phases, with 9 to 21 metres of water alongside at zero tide, deep enough for ultra-deepwater semi-submersibles and cruise ships; the natural depth allows thrusters to be fitted to semi-submersibles without towing the rig out to sea. A reinforced load-out area takes offshore platforms of up to 20,000 tonnes. Dry dock lifting runs to one 600-tonne gantry crane, five of 100 tonnes and five of 50 tonnes. Quayside cranes include one of 300 tonnes, ten of 50 tonnes, two of 40 tonnes, three of 10 tonnes and one of 5 tonnes, and the fabrication area is served by a 400-tonne and two 300-tonne gantries. Floating cranes of 3,600, 1,500 and 800 tonnes are available. The mechanical workshop runs two 30-tonne and two 20-tonne overhead cranes with fifteen 2-tonne jibs, and the electrical workshop a 10-tonne overhead crane, a 5-tonne gantry and two 2-tonne jibs. Work covers very large crude carriers, large container ships, LNG carriers and passenger ships, in newbuilding as well as repair and conversion.
