PT Marcopolo Shipyard

PT Marcopolo Shipyard is the Batam yard of Marco Polo Marine, a Singapore-listed marine group. Its own domain, mpshipyard.com, now redirects to the group site, and what is published about the yard is published there rather than on a site of its own. The group sets out four shipyard service lines: design and build, repairs and maintenance, conversion, and green ship recycling. Graving docks and a building slipway are in use at Batam, the slipway designated for new construction. Recycling is the line with a documented standard behind it. It is certified to ISO 30000:2009, the ship recycling management systems standard, and the group states that its recycling services follow EU-compliant safety and environmental requirements. How vessels are dismantled is not published: neither beaching nor any docked method is named, and a management system certification is not a method.
