Orskov Yard

Orskov Yard A/S is a Danish ship repair and conversion yard at Frederikshavn, on the northern tip of Jutland. It works on all types of vessels and on offshore constructions, around the clock, seven days a week, all year. It does not build ships: its registered activity in Denmark is ship and boat repair, and the one hull it has built recently was a floating dock for its own use. Docking is in two graving docks and two floating docks. Work is organised by trade rather than by vessel type, and four capabilities are set out separately from the general trades: installation of ballast water treatment systems, ultra-high-pressure water blasting using robots, thruster overhaul, and potable water tank work. Vessel upgrades aimed at lower energy consumption and reduced emissions are offered as a distinct line. Segments served include tankers, offshore support vessels, ro-ro vessels and ferries, fishing vessels and navy vessels. A recent illustration of the yard's scope is the 50-day stay of Hurtigruten's MS Midnatsol in spring 2026, which combined thruster overhaul with cabin refurbishment. The yard holds triple certification from DNV to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and provides superintendents' offices on site alongside port services.
