New Times Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. builds ships at Jingjiang on the Yangtze in Jiangsu. The yard covers 1,600,000 square metres with 3,200 metres of river frontage and employs about 3,200 people. Three dry docks and three outfitting jetties carry the work, and published annual delivery capacity is up to 5 million deadweight tonnes. The product range is bulk carriers, oil and chemical tankers and container ships, with Panamax and Suezmax tankers and Capesize and Newcastlemax bulk carriers the mainstays. Vessels have gone to owners in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Quality, safety, environmental and energy management systems are certified, and the yard's production capacity and safety management carry provincial government certification. Building is to the rules of ABS, Lloyd's Register, RINA, NK, DNV, Bureau Veritas and the Korean Register.
