Karmarine Shipyard

Karmarine Shipyard, branded Karmarine Tersanesi by its parent, is a shipbuilding and ship repair yard in the Yalova shipyards zone at Altinova, on the Gulf of Izmit. It was founded in 2015 and belongs to Karadeniz Holding, on whose group-companies pages the yard's details are published; Karmarine has no site of its own. The yard covers 104,850 square metres, of which 9,000 square metres are used for manufacturing and maintenance and 12,000 square metres are under cover. Newbuilding capacity is 59,400 deadweight tonnes a year. Ships are built on a slipway that takes hulls of up to 196 metres in length and 50 metres in beam, and the same slipway is used for maintenance and repair. There is no dry dock, floating dock or ship lift on the site. Karmarine builds, operates, buys and sells ships and marine craft of every kind and carries out maintenance, repair and conversion. It is equipped to build offshore vessels and platforms. It also builds and maintains the Powerships, floating power plants developed by Karpowership, a sister company within the same group.
