Iran Shipbuilding & Offshore Industries Complex co (ISOICO)

Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Complex, ISOICO, is a Persian Gulf yard at Bandar Abbas, inside the Persian Gulf Shipbuilding Special Economic Zone. Six groups run the work, spread across shipbuilding, ship repair, and offshore and industrial construction. Stated newbuilding capacity is four vessels of up to 80,000 DWT a year, plus two LNG, VLCC or LPG vessels a year in sizes up to 300,000 DWT. Design, construction and repair are also offered for craft of up to 3,000 DWT. Ship repair capacity runs to 70 to 80 vessels of all types a year, made up of 60 vessels of up to 80,000 DWT and 20 in the LNG, VLCC and LPG range up to 300,000 DWT. Offshore and industrial work covers engineering, procurement, construction and installation of jackets and gas platforms, and the design and construction of offshore and onshore oil and gas platforms, with refinery structures built at a rate of up to 35,000 tonnes a year. The site also provides warehousing and loading and unloading berths, handles the transfer and export of petroleum products and minerals, and passes the facilities of the special economic zone on to its users.
