Iran Marine Industrial Company (Sadra)

Iran Marine Industrial Company, known as Sadra, builds and repairs ships and offshore structures. It was founded in the Iranian year 1347. The company works from a head office in Tehran, a works at Bushehr on the Persian Gulf and a further works on the Caspian coast; the Bushehr site is the one in this profile. The work covers construction and repair of ships, construction of offshore drilling rigs including self-elevating units, and the construction and installation of fixed offshore oil and gas platforms. Design and engineering are done in house and extend beyond ships to port construction, coastal protection, bridges and other infrastructure.
