Drydocks World

Drydocks World is a ship repair, conversion and offshore fabrication yard on nearly one million square metres of waterfront beside Port Rashid in Dubai. It became part of DP World in 2018 and signs itself Drydocks World, a DP World Company; the operating entity is Drydocks World - Dubai FZCO. Dry docking has been carried out on the site since 1983. Three graving docks and one floating dock are in operation. The yard also runs a ship lift on Dubai Maritime City land, which is otherwise a separate operation. Alongside ship repair, maintenance and upgrade, the yard refurbishes and life-extends drilling rigs and jack-ups, converts and rebuilds floating units, fabricates offshore structures and builds new ones, and works on renewable energy projects. An engineering, procurement and construction division was set up in 2023, and service teams are sent to customers' assets at their own location. More than 9,000 ship repair, maintenance and upgrade projects have been completed. The workforce is more than 11,000 employees with 5,000 subcontractors, drawn from over 50 countries.
