Ba Son Shipyard

Ba Son Corporation builds and repairs ships at Phu My, in the Phu My 2 industrial park. Vietnam's 2025 provincial reorganisation absorbed Ba Ria-Vung Tau, so the site now falls administratively under Ho Chi Minh City; the yard itself has not moved. The plant covers close to 96 hectares, about 42 of them workshops and open production yards. The operator publishes 453 staff and 349 items of production equipment, with throughput counters of 18 vessels built and repaired a year, 6,963 tonnes of fabricated structures, 348,109 tonnes of cargo handled and 3,481,082 litres of paint produced. Two of the yard's main newbuilding lines fall outside the vessel categories this directory uses and so do not show on the card: the fisheries surveillance vessel 1482C and a vessel built for the Ho Chi Minh City Maritime Administration.
