Tango Shipping Agency functions as a dedicated shipping agent within Sri Lanka, providing a comprehensive suite of port agency services across the island's primary maritime hubs. The agency handles vessel requirements at the ports of Colombo, Galle, Hambantota, and Trincomalee, ensuring that various types of ships receive necessary logistical support. These services encompass ship husbandry, where the team manages the coordination of fresh water delivery, provision supplies, and garbage removal. Technical support is also a key component of their work, including facilitating ship repairs and overseeing bunkering arrangements for vessels in transit or at berth.
Managing the human element of seafaring, the firm coordinates crew changes and provides essential medical assistance to personnel when required. Beyond standard port operations, the agency is authorized to support private maritime security companies by facilitating the movement of sea marshals and security equipment through designated ports. This specialized involvement helps maintain safety standards for vessels navigating high-risk waters. The company adheres to international quality standards, holding ISO 9001:2015 certification, and maintains active membership within the Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents. These credentials reflect a commitment to standardized procedures and regulatory compliance within the local maritime industry.
As a versatile shipping agency, the organization bridges the gap between vessel owners and local authorities. By managing clearing and forwarding tasks along with required documentation, Tango Shipping Agency ensures that arrivals and departures remain efficient. Whether dealing with bulk carriers, tankers, or security vessels, the agency provides a central point of contact for all administrative and operational needs throughout the Sri Lankan coastline. This centralized management covers every phase of a vessel's stay, from initial port entry to final departure, supporting the overall flow of trade in the region.
