Romanos Agencies SA operates as a maritime services provider headquartered in the port city of Patras, Greece. With a history in the shipping sector dating back to 1956, the organization manages a broad spectrum of port agency and vessel support operations. Its primary focus lies in serving the maritime needs of Western Greece, maintaining a significant presence in the ports of Patras, Katakolo, and Killini, while also extending its reach to Igoumenitsa.
The agency functions as a central coordinator for vessels during port calls, facilitating essential interactions between shipowners, operators, and local authorities. Its scope of work includes managing customs and immigration formalities, ensuring vessel clearance, and handling all necessary documentation to satisfy regulatory requirements. Beyond administrative support, the company provides practical husbandry services, such as coordinating crew changes, arranging for medical assistance, and managing the delivery of bunkers, lubricants, and fresh provisions.
In the specialized sectors of cruise and yachting, the agency oversees arrival and departure procedures, berth reservations, and shore-based logistics. For commercial shipping, it handles cargo documentation and provides operational assistance to ensure efficient turnaround times. The firm adheres to international quality management standards, maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification to ensure consistency in its service delivery. By acting as a local representative for international clients, the organization manages the logistical complexities of the maritime environment, from technical support and ship repairs to the coordination of supplies and spare parts. Its operational footprint is deeply rooted in the Ionian and Western Greek maritime corridors, where it serves as a link between vessel interests and the specific requirements of the regional port infrastructure.
