The Kiribati Ports Authority, known as KPA, is Kiribatis national port authority, managing the countrys main ports at Betio Tarawa and Ronton Kiritimati, and overseeing safe, efficient maritime cargo and vessel operations. Established: 2000 under the KPA Act 1990 Ownership: Wholly owned by the Government of Kiribati Ports Managed: Betio Port in Tarawa and Kiritimati Port in Tabwakea Village on Kiritimati Island.
