Greek Lanka functions as a dedicated shipping agent within the Sri Lankan maritime sector, managing a wide array of port agency requirements from its headquarters in Colombo. The firm oversees vessel interests at all primary commercial ports in the country, including Colombo, Galle, Hambantota, and Trincomalee. Its core activities involve port agency services and comprehensive ship husbandry, which includes coordinating crew changes, facilitating the delivery of fresh water and provisions, and managing the supply of technical stores and engine parts. The agency also handles the logistics for bunkering, slop disposal, and emergency medical evacuations for crew members when necessary. By maintaining close communication with local port authorities, the organization ensures that vessels move through Sri Lankan waters efficiently while adhering to all regulatory protocols.
Beyond standard port calls, Greek Lanka provides support for more complex maritime operations such as dry docking and ship repairs. They assist with the customs clearance and delivery of ship spares, ensuring that necessary components reach vessels without delay. The agency represents the interests of ship owners and charterers during cargo operations, overseeing the loading and discharging processes to maintain operational schedules and minimize time in port. The organization is an active member of the Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents and the Sri Lanka Logistics & Freight Forwarders Association. These memberships reflect its adherence to regional industry standards and its integration into the local logistics network. Located at Valiant Towers on Nawam Mawatha, the company serves as a central hub for managing maritime traffic across the island’s strategic shipping routes, providing reliable support for various vessel types and cargo requirements throughout the region.
