Golden Shipping Agency operates as a maritime service provider headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, focusing on port agency and vessel support solutions across the country’s major maritime hubs. The company manages the logistical and administrative requirements for shipowners and operators, specifically handling vessels calling at Egyptian ports and those navigating the Suez Canal. Its central operations are based in the Masaken Sheraton area of Cairo, which serves as a coordination point for activities spanning critical locations such as Alexandria, Damietta, Port Said, Suez, Sokhna, and Safaga.
As a shipping agent, the company facilitates the entire vessel call process, starting with pre-arrival notifications and continuing through to final clearance and departure. This role involves the management of essential documentation and the coordination of formalities with port authorities, customs, and immigration departments to ensure that all legal and regulatory standards are met. For vessels transiting the Suez Canal, the agency provides specialized assistance to navigate the specific transit regulations and scheduling requirements unique to the waterway.
Beyond administrative clearance, the agency manages diverse husbandry services designed to maintain vessel efficiency and support the well-being of the crew. These activities include organizing crew changes with the necessary visa arrangements and transportation, as well as coordinating the delivery of bunkers, fresh water, and provisions. Technical support is also a part of its operational scope, where the agency assists in arranging for repairs or inspections through local contractors. By maintaining a presence at all major Egyptian gateways, the company provides local operational assistance around the clock, allowing for the smooth transfer of cargo and the efficient turnaround of vessels. This integrated approach to maritime agency work supports the operational needs of international shipping lines while managing the complexities of local port environments.
