Caribbean Shipping Agencies, Ltd. has been an integral part of the maritime landscape in Belize since its establishment in May 1983. Founded as a private, family-owned enterprise, the organization maintains a focus on vessel port calls and logistics management from its central office in Belize City. The team manages a diverse array of responsibilities for international vessels, acting as a reliable port agent for tankers, cruise ships, bulk carriers, and specialized research craft. These activities take place across all major national ports, including the Port of Belize, Big Creek, and Harvest Caye, as well as various offshore anchorages.
The firm handles the intricate requirements of marine operations, providing necessary husbandry services that include crew rotations, medical transport, and the procurement of supplies. Beyond the dockside, Caribbean Shipping Agencies facilitates smooth transitions for cargo through comprehensive customs brokerage and inland freight forwarding. By maintaining close ties with the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Caribbean Shipping Association, the company stays aligned with regional standards and best practices for the shipping agency sector. The management team brings decades of experience to every assignment, ensuring that naval vessels, private yachts, and commercial fleets receive professional oversight throughout their stay in Belizean waters. This includes managing documentation, bunkering arrangements, and technical support for diverse maritime projects. By focusing on the specific needs of each ship owner and charterer, the agency maintains a vital link between global shipping routes and the localized infrastructure of the Caribbean coast. From the initial arrival at the pilot station to the final departure, the staff coordinates every aspect of the port call to promote efficiency and safety within the local marine environment.
