Yangzhou Aikesi Engineering Testing Co., Ltd. is a non-destructive testing and condition monitoring contractor based in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, on the north bank of the lower Yangtze River. The company supports shipyards, marine fabricators, repair facilities and tonnage trading through the Yangzhou-Taizhou-Jingjiang shipbuilding cluster, one of the principal new-build centres in eastern China. Core capability covers the principal NDT methods used in shipbuilding and offshore fabrication, including ultrasonic testing for plate, weld and casting examinations, magnetic particle inspection for ferromagnetic surface and near-surface flaws, dye-penetrant inspection for surface-breaking defects, radiographic testing using gamma and X-ray sources for full-penetration butt welds, and visual inspection of welds and parent material. Technicians are deployed during hull block assembly, erection and fitting-out, with reports issued in formats accepted by attending classification surveyors and yard quality teams. Condition monitoring services extend to in-service inspection of hull structure, piping welds, lifting arrangements and small fabrications subject to periodical survey. Yangzhou Aikesi operates within the directory of recognised service suppliers maintained by ABS for these inspection categories, supporting newbuild and repair campaigns on bulk carriers, multipurpose vessels, chemical tankers and other tonnage produced and serviced in the Yangzhou yards. Field teams mobilise across the cluster so that testing windows fit production schedules and special survey programmes on commercial ships built and operated along the Yangtze. Equipment fleets include calibrated digital thickness gauges, ultrasonic flaw detectors, magnetic particle yokes, dye-penetrant kits, radiographic exposure equipment with isotope and X-ray sources and visual inspection aids, with traceable calibration and operator qualification records maintained in accordance with national NDT certification schemes applied across the Yangtze Delta yards.
