Xiamen Tonghai Shipping Co., Ltd is based in Xiamen, a major Fujian Province port on the southeastern China coast that hosts the Xiamen Port container complex at Haicang and Songyu and ferry and ship-repair facilities serving the Taiwan Strait shipping lanes and the wider South China Sea trading area. The firm provides on-board technical attendance covering lifesaving, fire-safety and tightness-testing scopes to commercial vessels calling Xiamen-area berths and the surrounding anchorages used for crew change, bunkering and routine maintenance during ordinary port calls. Lifesaving services include lifeboat and rescue boat annual and five-yearly servicing, liferaft annual inflation and pressure testing and overhaul of associated release gear and on-load hooks together with hoist wires, falls and survival pack contents. Fire-safety work covers portable extinguisher recharge, fire main and hydrant pressure testing and breathing apparatus maintenance for EEBD and SCBA sets used during enclosed-space drills and emergency-response training. Tightness scopes cover ultrasonic hatch-cover testing on weather-deck closures of bulk carriers, where leak-tightness affects cargo condition and stability, and watertight integrity verification on bulkheads, doors and other compartments where SOLAS tightness requirements apply. Tonghai Shipping holds service supplier recognition by the China Classification Society, allowing servicing records to be considered during periodical, intermediate and special surveys on commercial tonnage trading through the Taiwan Strait and South China Sea. Customers include shipowners, ship managers and port agents arranging maintenance attendance during commercial calls in the Xiamen area and at neighbouring Fujian terminals. Field teams attend at berth and anchorage with calibrated test gauges, hydrostatic test rigs and spare parts for routine renewals, returning safety equipment to class-compliant condition.
