Located in Xiamen, Fujian Province, Xiamen Joinhand Shipping & Equipment Engineering Co., Ltd. is an independent marine electronics service company supporting merchant shipping at the major terminals of southern China, including Xiamen, Quanzhou and Fuzhou. The Joinhand team focuses on the radio, navigation and safety-electronics requirements of SOLAS Chapter IV, IMO Resolution A.1115(30) and MSC.494(104), performing GMDSS annual radio surveys for vessels operating in Sea Areas A1, A2 and A3, with technicians servicing MF/HF and VHF DSC radios, Inmarsat-C and Fleet terminals, NAVTEX receivers, EPIRBs, SARTs and two-way VHF radiotelephones. AIS Class A annual performance verification is delivered against IMO MSC.74(69) and Voyage Data Recorder and S-VDR annual performance tests are carried out by qualified engineers using approved test kits and manufacturer-provided software, with playback verification of audio, radar and bridge data channels. EPIRB and SART periodic testing covers battery and HRU replacement, beacon-message verification and dispatch of units for HRU and battery replacement at type-approved stations. Field teams also undertake routine NDT and remote inspection support on antenna foundations, masts and radar pedestals, and coordinate underwater hull inspection through partner diving contractors for in-water surveys in lieu of drydocking. The company is recognised as a service supplier by ABS, Bureau Veritas, Korean Register, Lloyd's Register, the China Classification Society and DNV, allowing the reports it issues to be accepted for statutory and class purposes on merchant tonnage calling at the principal Fujian and southern Chinese ports. Joinhand's workshop also supports magnetic compass adjustment and deviation surveys, compass card exchanges and bridge electronics troubleshooting alongside its primary radio and AIS service offering, providing a single point of contact for visiting shipmasters.
