Founded in 2004 in Baoan District, Shenzhen, Shenzhen Lcs Compliance Testing Laboratory Ltd. is a third-party testing and certification house focused on electrical and electronic product compliance, with a broader scope that also covers selected marine and environmental services. The LCS laboratory complex includes dedicated Safety, EMC, RF, SAR and HAC, Reliability, Lighting, LED Performance, Energy Efficiency, Battery, Chemistry, Environmental and Occupational Evaluation, Toy and Textile testing facilities supported by more than two hundred and fifty technical staff drawn from doctoral, postgraduate and undergraduate backgrounds. Accreditations and authorisations include CNAS, CMA, NVLAP, A2LA, CPSC, IC, EMSD, MIC, NATA, SABS, KOSTEC, E-MARK, TUV, CETECOM, Eurofins, SAA and UL, giving the laboratory direct recognition with regulatory regimes across North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. For the maritime sector, the laboratory provides Inventory of Hazardous Materials sampling, analysis and reporting to support the Hong Kong Convention and the EU Ship Recycling Regulation, with chemistry laboratories handling the analysis of asbestos, heavy metals, PCBs, ozone-depleting substances, PFOS and other regulated substances. Sample collection is delivered on board by qualified surveyors at shipyards and at berth, with IHM Parts I, II and III documentation issued in IACS-aligned formats. In-water inspection services are coordinated through partner diving contractors. The laboratory is recognised as a service supplier by DNV, allowing its IHM and laboratory reports to be used in class and flag-state acceptance procedures for both newbuilds and operating tonnage delivered or repaired at Pearl River Delta shipyards. The Shenzhen LCS team also offers chemical and environmental measurement services that support shipyard, shipowner and ship-recycling clients in their wider environmental compliance and reporting obligations across the region.
