Shanghai Steel Structure Construction (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. is a heavy steel fabricator founded in September 2010 and headquartered in the Binjiang core area of Haimen District, Nantong, Jiangsu Province, three hundred metres from the inland bank of the Xinjianghai River. The plant covers more than four hundred eighty mu, with workshop space approaching one hundred thousand square metres and a continuous fabrication hall stretching close to four hundred metres, supporting an annual steel processing capacity of around one hundred fifty thousand tonnes and reported sales of roughly three hundred thousand tonnes. As the sole steel structure subsidiary of Shanghai Construction Group, the company fabricates power station structures, large stadium roofs, super high-rise members and offshore and petrochemical modules, having contributed to projects including the Shanghai Tower, the Guangzhou TV Tower, the Qatar 2022 World Cup stadium programme and overseas power plants in Jordan, the Philippines, Cambodia and Pakistan. For marine and offshore work the yard supplies fabricated steelwork delivered by river to coastal sites, with quality programmes covering NDT, weld inspection and dimensional control aligned with classification practice. In support of ongoing service obligations, in-water inspection and non-destructive testing or condition monitoring scopes can be performed on completed marine and offshore steel structures within the directory of suppliers recognised by DNV. Through this combination of fabrication scale, riverside logistics and inspection capability, SCGSS functions as a heavy-steel partner to shipyards, offshore developers and infrastructure contractors operating from the Yangtze Delta. Quality processes draw on standard NDT methods including ultrasonic, magnetic particle and dye-penetrant inspection for primary weld joints, while dimensional and coating control programmes follow ISO and shipyard practice for offshore modules and large floating structures handed over to clients across Asia and the Middle East.
