Shanghai Star Life-Saving Equipment Co., Ltd is a long-established marine safety company with more than thirty years of activity in life-saving and fire-fighting appliance manufacture and service. The Shanghai Star group is associated with the CSM brand of inflatable liferafts produced in compliance with the 1996 SOLAS amendment, the LSA Code and MSC.81(70), and runs an approved service network for periodical inspection of those rafts. Annual and five-yearly servicing covers lifeboats, rescue boats and davit launching systems, inflatable liferaft re-pack and inflation tests, hydrostatic release units, immersion suits and lifejackets, while fire-fighting work includes portable extinguisher recharging, fixed CO2, foam and water-spray systems for machinery spaces, fire hose and hydrant hydrostatic testing, and EEBD and SCBA breathing apparatus maintenance.
