Established in 2006 and headquartered in Shanghai, Shanghai Shengxie Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. specialises in ocean engineering work and commercial underwater services for vessels and fixed offshore assets. The core business covers ship repair, underwater installation and welding, CCTV inspection of hulls and offshore structures including wind power facilities, bridges and wharfs, as well as underwater cleaning and salvage. The technical team consists of roughly 20 people, of whom about 8 work as technicians or administrative staff, and the divers carry approvals from the relevant Chinese maritime authorities. Several team members hold Above-water and Underwater NT/UT certificates issued by CCS, and selected divers are qualified for underwater wet welding (UWW) under CCS scheme, which allows the company to issue class-recognised inspection and repair reports. Operations are supported by about eight sets of diving and survey equipment, including thickness gauging instruments and remote camera systems used for hatch cover ultrasonic tests, hull thickness measurement and watertight integrity verification. Shengxie maintains a network of around ten branches along the Chinese coast, with sites in Dalian, Qinhuangdao, Tianjin, Yantai, Rizhao, Qingdao, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Zhanjiang, giving customers rapid mobilisation from the nearest port. Typical clients are domestic shipowners, ship repair yards and offshore wind operators that need certified divers for routine class surveys and incident-driven inspections.
