Shanghai Ocean Marine Service Co., Ltd. is a marine safety service company headquartered in Shanghai with field stations along the eastern Chinese coast, including a Bohai Gulf operation in Tanghai County, Hebei Province, supporting tankers and bulkers calling at Caofeidian and Jingtang. The Shanghai workshop covers vessels at Waigaoqiao, Yangshan, Wusong and the Yangtze River Delta anchorages and concentrates on the SOLAS scope for life-saving appliances, fire-fighting equipment and related class items. Periodical work is performed on inflatable liferafts, conventional and totally enclosed lifeboats, rescue boats, davits and launching appliances, hydrostatic release units, immersion suits, lifejackets and lifebuoys, while fire-safety services include recharging and hydrostatic testing of portable extinguishers, performance checks on fixed CO2, foam and water-spray systems, fire hose and hydrant pressure testing and breathing-apparatus servicing for EEBD and SCBA sets with cylinder pressure-vessel inspection. Lifting appliance and gear surveys, ultrasonic hatch cover tightness testing, watertight integrity verification, pressure vessel inspection and class-acceptable underwater hull inspection through approved diving partners are also offered. Ocean Marine Service is recognised by ABS, Bureau Veritas, China Classification Society, DNV, Korean Register, Lloyd's Register and RINA as a service supplier for the relevant LSA, FFE and class-related categories, allowing inspection reports issued at the Shanghai or Bohai Gulf stations to support SOLAS-mandated surveys on vessels flagged with administrations that recognise these IACS members. Coordination between LSA, FFE and class-related work scopes is handled from one work order so multiple periodical items can be closed during a single port call, reducing off-hire time for owners and managers. Spare parts for liferaft canisters, lifeboat release-hooks, hydrostatic release units, extinguisher refills, EEBD and SCBA composite cylinders and CO2 control-station components are held in workshop stock, allowing immediate replacement of expired or non-compliant items at the time of inspection.
