Founded in 2008 and based in Pudong New District, SHANGHAI MINGYU MARINE SERVICE CO., LTD. is a dedicated marine service house focused on life-saving appliances, fire-fighting equipment, navigation systems and shipboard automation for vessels calling at the Yangtze River Delta. Annual servicing covers lifeboats and rescue boats, inflatable liferafts, davit and launching systems, immersion suits and lifejackets, while fire-fighting work includes portable extinguisher recharging, fixed CO2, foam and water-spray system inspections, fire hose and hydrant testing and EEBD and SCBA breathing apparatus maintenance. Radio and navigation technicians perform GMDSS annual radio surveys, GMDSS equipment service, AIS annual inspection and Voyage Data Recorder and S-VDR annual performance tests in compliance with SOLAS Chapter IV and MSC.494(104). Hull and structural work covers ultrasonic hatch cover tightness testing, watertight integrity testing, hull ultrasonic thickness gauging, NDT and remote inspection, Ro-Ro door inspection, pressure vessel inspection and lifting appliance and gear survey. Mingyu also performs METC.107(49) Oil Content Meter (15 ppm) maintenance and calibration, troubleshooting of pneumatic and electrical control systems, and supply of spare parts and ship stores, with engineers trained on equipment from a wide range of OEMs. The company is listed on the Panama Maritime Authority authorised service provider register and on the Bahamas Maritime Authority provider archive, and is recognised as a service supplier by ABS, Bureau Veritas, DNV, the Indian Register of Shipping, Korean Register, RINA, CCS, ClassNK, Lloyd's Register and the Polish Register of Shipping, ensuring acceptance of its certificates and reports for statutory and class surveys on merchant tonnage.
