Radio Holland (China) Co., Ltd. is the Chinese arm of Radio Holland, a long-established Dutch marine electronics group that operates as the global navigation, communication, connectivity, onboard ICT and maintenance brand of the RH Marine Group following ownership by Parcom Capital and Pon Holdings. The China unit is based in Shanghai and supports merchant shipping calling at ports across the Yangtze River Delta and the wider Chinese coastline, including Shanghai, Ningbo-Zhoushan and nearby anchorages, with engineers mobilised to other ports under planned schedules. Service scope concentrates on bridge navigation and communication equipment in line with SOLAS Chapter IV and Chapter V requirements, with the team performing Voyage Data Recorder and Simplified VDR annual performance testing, Global Maritime Distress and Safety System annual radio surveys, ongoing GMDSS equipment servicing and Automatic Identification System annual inspections. Engineers can verify the operation of radars and ECDIS, examine VDR data integrity and check all on-board GMDSS equipment, and are supported by global parts logistics and remote-monitoring tooling. The China business has worked closely with shipowners such as The China Navigation Company, serving as preferred supplier for the navigation and communication package on multipurpose ship and bulk-carrier newbuild programmes, and has installed VDR remote-interface systems on Coral Chief, Highland Chief, New Guinea Chief and Papuan Chief vessels. Class recognition from Bureau Veritas and Korean Register allows the China operation to issue survey reports accepted for the endorsement of statutory radio safety certificates.
