Quantum Technical Marine Services S.A. functions as a multifaceted maritime support entity, headquartered in the significant shipbuilding and repair hub of Tuzla, Istanbul. Established to address the complex requirements of the global shipping industry, the company integrates specialized engineering expertise with comprehensive supply chain capabilities. It operates primarily as a technical solutions partner for shipowners and vessel management companies, offering a consolidated service model designed to minimize vessel downtime and streamline operational logistics in a high-pressure environment.
The core of the company’s technical operations lies in its capacity to execute complex repair and maintenance projects. Recognizing the critical nature of vessel schedules, the firm deploys specialized riding squads capable of performing afloat repairs and maintenance while ships remain in service or continue their voyages. These technical teams are proficient in a broad spectrum of engineering disciplines, ranging from main and auxiliary engine overhauls to hull and structural steel renewals. Beyond routine maintenance, the company has developed significant competency in regulatory compliance projects. It actively manages retrofits for Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) and exhaust gas cleaning systems (scrubbers), handling the lifecycle of these projects from initial 3D scanning and engineering design to pre-fabrication and final onboard installation.
Parallel to its engineering division, the company functions as a robust ship chandler and spare parts supplier. It leverages its strategic location in a key maritime transit corridor to provide vessels with essential technical stores, provisions, and bonded goods. This supply arm ensures that deck, engine, and cabin departments are stocked with necessary equipment, including valves, pipes, and electrical components tailored to specific project requirements. By combining technical fabrication with procurement, the organization facilitates seamless project execution, often manufacturing specific steel foundations or piping components in-house to support its installation teams.
The operational scope extends beyond Turkish waters, with the company coordinating services across numerous international ports. Through a network of logistics partners and mobile engineering teams, it supports vessels in regions ranging from the Mediterranean and Europe to South America and Asia. The firm’s operational ethos emphasizes rapid response and continuous availability, serving as a constant resource for emergency repairs, drydocking support, and routine supply operations within the competitive maritime sector.
