Established in 1998 and based in Qingdao, Shandong Province, Qingdao Sealin Marine Engineering & Technology Co., Ltd. is a ship safety, communication and lifesaving service company supporting merchant shipping at the major northern Chinese ports including Qingdao, Yantai, Weihai and Rizhao. The company implements an ISO 9001:2000 quality management system and is recognised as an authorised lifeboat service provider by the Liberia Maritime Authority and as an approved service provider by the Bahamas Maritime Authority, alongside acceptance by multiple classification societies. The service portfolio is organised around three main pillars: communication, navigation and bridge electronics support; life-saving appliance servicing; and fire-fighting equipment maintenance. Within the LSA segment, Sealin engineers perform periodic life-saving appliance testing, lifeboat and rescue boat servicing under IMO MSC.402(96) and MSC/Circ.1206, liferaft servicing through workshop and partner stations, davit and launching system overhauls, immersion suit and lifejacket inspections, and lifting appliance and lifting gear surveys. Fire-fighting work covers extinguisher recharge, fire hose and hydrant testing, breathing apparatus including EEBD and SCBA and related pressure vessel inspections on cylinders and reservoirs. The team additionally supports in-water hull surveys through diver subcontractors and supplies fire and lifesaving spares, ship repair components and consumables for owners during port calls. Class recognition through Korean Register, Lloyd's Register and DNV allows reports issued by Sealin to be submitted for statutory safety equipment certificate endorsement on ocean-going tonnage trading internationally.
