Established in 2013 in Qingdao, Shandong Province, Hero Diving Engineering Co., Limited is a specialist underwater engineering contractor founded by senior rescue and salvage experts originally from a naval salvage unit, together with experienced commercial divers. The team has carried out more than one thousand above-water and underwater tasks supporting clients in shipping, petroleum, chemical, port operations, water conservancy, power generation and bridge construction, with a particular focus on serving classed vessels calling at Chinese ports. Core technical services include non-docking underwater hull inspection for survey and condition assessment, ship sale and purchase pre-purchase surveys, marine casualty and damage inspection, and routine in-water hull examinations performed in lieu of drydocking. Divers also undertake underwater hull and propeller marine growth cleaning, propeller polishing, and biofouling removal from offshore oil platform legs and chains. For non-destructive testing tasks, the company applies Alternating Current Field Measurement, magnetic particle flaw detection and ultrasonic thickness measurement directly underwater, allowing weld inspection and corrosion mapping on hulls, mooring chains and submerged structures. Hero Diving operates an ISO 9001 quality management system and ISO 14001 environmental management system, and is an official member of the China Diving and Salvage Industry Association. Class society recognition spans ABS, Bureau Veritas, CCS, DNV, Indian Register of Shipping, Korean Register, Lloyd's Register and RINA, which allows the firm's IMCA-trained divers and NDT technicians to issue reports accepted for statutory in-water surveys, intermediate surveys and special periodical examinations on a wide range of merchant and offshore tonnage.
