Prantik

Bangladesh

Prantik is a Chattogram-based marine and industrial services group founded in 1998. It became Bangladeshs first local salvage company in 2001 after refloating the Southern Queen, and has since grown into a full-service operator spanning marine engineering, vessel chartering, agency and crewing, salvage and diving, and shipbuilding and docking, all under one roof rather than split across specialist firms. What makes it unique: Prantik owns its own infrastructure, including a certified workshop in Bhatiyari and the Karnaphuli shipyard, slipway, and jetty, rather than leasing capacity like most competitors. It holds approvals from eight classification societies plus Bureau Veritas certification, and is the sole International Salvage Union representative from Bangladesh. Its client roster spans the Bangladesh Navy alongside global names like TORM, Boskalis, Svitzer, and Adani Ports, giving a locally rooted company genuinely international reach and standing.
