Nantong Rainbow Offshore & Engineering Equipment Co., Ltd. is the offshore and special-vessel construction arm of Jiangsu Rainbow Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., a publicly listed industrial group with shares traded on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange under code 002483. The Qidong site, located within the Marine Industry Park on the north bank of the Yangtze River estuary in Jiangsu Province, is configured for offshore vessels, offshore wind power installations and renewable-energy equipment, bridge steel structures and other high value-added fabrications. Production facilities include a one-hundred-thousand-square-metre workshop, one indoor slipway, one outdoor slipway, an eighty-thousand-square-metre heavy equipment assembly area and a 326-metre, fifty-thousand-ton heavy loading and unloading wharf served by a 250-tonne gantry crane, enabling load-out of large assemblies. Product portfolio covers anchor-handling tug supply vessels, platform supply vessels such as the SPP40 series, wind turbine installation platforms and accommodation units, and large-scale stainless steel pressure vessels for liquefied gas service. The yard has secured significant international orders for AHTS vessels and has progressed into the high-end pressure vessel segment, completing stainless steel LNG fuel tank work for a major liner conversion project. Pressure vessel manufacturing is conducted under recognised quality systems, with ABS approval supporting class-witnessed construction surveys and in-water inspection on delivered vessels. The Qidong location also provides convenient access to the Yangtze River shipping corridor for both fabrication delivery and ongoing service support.
