Karberg & Schmitz GmbH was founded back in 1960 by Erik Karberg and Walther Schmitz, starting out with a small but growing list of clients along the North and Baltic Sea coasts. Over 60 years later, the company is still going strong, operating out of Hamburg-Altona - a part of town that’s long been home to major shipowners and ship management companies. That location has helped them stay connected to the industry on a personal level, and it’s still where they handle all their sales and project coordination today.
