Jiangsu Fasten Material Analysis & Inspecting Co. functions as the dedicated testing arm of Fasten Group, the Jiangyin-based metal-products conglomerate whose origins trace back to the parent's 1960s founding as a hardware works on the south bank of the Yangtze. The inspecting subsidiary houses Fasten Group's state-level enterprise technology centre and metal testing centre, and is recognised as the only provincial-level wire-rope inspection centre across Jiangsu Province. Day-to-day work concentrates on mechanical and metallurgical examination of steel wire, prestressing strand, wire rope, optical-cable steel members and bridge cable systems produced inside the parent's plants and supplied to outside fabricators. Test capabilities span tensile and fatigue trials, salt-spray and accelerated corrosion exposure, chemical composition analysis, dimensional and surface metrology, and full non-destructive inspection by ultrasonic, magnetic-particle and dye-penetrant methods, with extensions into selected non-metallic engineering materials. Engineers attached to the laboratory have published peer-reviewed research on accelerated corrosion equivalence and environmental spectrum compilation for corroded bridge wires, and the unit contributes to national key science and technology support programmes covering long-span suspension bridges and stay-cable infrastructure. Within the marine context, the laboratory supplies third-party hatch-cover ultrasonic, watertight-integrity and NDT documentation against CCS rules for shipowners and yards drawing on Fasten-supplied rigging, mooring and hoist ropes. Personnel hold CCS, CNAS-aligned operator and Level II/III qualifications, and reports are issued through Jiangsu Fasten Material Analysis & Inspecting Co. under the group's CMA-accredited scope.
