Dongfang (Guangzhou) Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. is a heavy fabrication and pressure equipment manufacturer founded in 2003 and located at Nansha on the Guangdong coast within the wider Dongfang Electric Corporation group. The plant designs, develops and produces large pressure vessels and rotating equipment including reactor pressure vessels, steam generators, steam separator reheaters and associated nuclear power station hardware, supported by ASME N-stamp accreditation for boilers and pressure vessels and a long-standing technical relationship with Japan Steel Works for large forged components. From its Nansha site the company has capacity for several sets of CPR-1000 forged equipment per year together with multiple turbine generator sets annually, and has delivered first-of-kind units including the first Chinese-made one-thousand-megawatt-electric reactor pressure vessel for Ling Ao and major Taishan nuclear plant components. For marine and offshore work, this pressure vessel and heavy fabrication base supports inspection of shipboard receivers, deck-cargo pressure vessels and large fabricated modules, with quality systems aligning with classification practice. In-water inspection scopes covering hull, propeller and rudder examinations on commercial tonnage are offered within the directory of suppliers recognised by ABS, allowing class-attended underwater jobs to be coordinated alongside heavy fabrication and pressure vessel inspection campaigns. Through this combination of nuclear-grade fabrication, ASME-coded pressure vessel manufacturing and recognised in-water survey work, Dongfang (Guangzhou) Heavy Machinery offers ship operators and offshore developers a Pearl River Delta contact for high-integrity steel and pressure equipment services. The Nansha works also delivers large diameter forgings, heavy machined components and certified pressure equipment to power, petrochemical and shipbuilding customers, supported by in-house metallurgical laboratories, dimensional inspection bays and welding qualification programmes aligned with ASME, ISO and Chinese GB regimes applied across the group.
