Dalian Blue Shield Marine Safety Service Co., Ltd. is a marine safety service contractor headquartered in Dalian, Liaoning Province, serving vessels calling at Dalian Port, Bayuquan, Dandong, Jinzhou, Qinhuangdao and other Bohai Bay and northern Yellow Sea terminals. The workshop handles the full range of SOLAS-mandated periodical work, including annual and five-yearly inspection and overhaul of inflatable liferafts, conventional and totally enclosed lifeboats, rescue boats, davits and launching appliances, hydrostatic release units, immersion suits, lifejackets and lifebuoys. Fire-safety scope covers recharging and hydrostatic testing of portable extinguishers, performance checks on fixed CO2, foam, water-spray and high-expansion installations, fire hose and hydrant pressure testing, and breathing-apparatus servicing for EEBD and SCBA sets together with cylinder pressure-vessel inspection. The team also performs lifting appliance and gear surveys, hull ultrasonic thickness gauging campaigns for class-renewal surveys, ultrasonic hatch cover tightness testing, watertight integrity verification of doors and penetrations, pressure vessel inspections on cargo and machinery-space equipment, and class-acceptable underwater hull inspection through approved diving partners. Blue Shield is recognised as a service supplier by Bureau Veritas, ABS, China Classification Society, ClassNK, DNV, Korean Register, Lloyd's Register and RINA across the relevant LSA, FFE, hull-survey and tightness-testing categories, allowing inspection certificates and reports issued at Dalian to be used for statutory and class surveys on merchant tonnage flying flags that recognise these IACS members. Coordination between LSA, FFE and class-related work scopes is handled from one work order so multiple periodical items can be closed during a single port call, reducing off-hire time for owners and managers. Spare parts for liferaft canisters, lifeboat release-hooks, hydrostatic release units, extinguisher refills, EEBD and SCBA composite cylinders and CO2 control-station components are held in workshop stock, allowing immediate replacement of expired or non-compliant items at the time of inspection.
