CNFC Zhoushan Overseas Fisheries Co., Ltd. is a Zhoushan-based distant-water fishing enterprise that became part of the listed group CNFC Overseas Fisheries Co., Ltd. after a 2023 restructuring in which the parent acquired a 51.19 percent stake in the China National Agricultural Development Group Zhoushan Overseas Fisheries platform for around 270 million yuan, followed by a further 20.89 percent purchase, consolidating offshore fishery assets under one listed vehicle ultimately controlled by the state-owned China National Fisheries Corporation. The CNFC group is the principal Chinese distant-water fishing operator, with more than 220 bottom trawlers, longliners, squid jiggers, refrigerated cargo carriers and bunker ships fishing in the Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea and Mediterranean and a product line covering tuna, squid, shrimp and various pelagic and demersal species. Within that group the Zhoushan unit manages a fleet of distant-water fishing vessels home-ported on the Zhejiang coast, together with associated marine refuelling, transport and aquatic product processing activities feeding the East China supply chain. As fleet operator the company is recognized by the China Classification Society as a service supplier for shipborne electronics on its own and third-party vessels, performing GMDSS annual radio testing, GMDSS equipment service and AIS annual inspections, alongside non-destructive examination and remote inspection support on hull, structure and equipment items.
