China Offshore Fugro Geosolutions (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. is a Chinese subsea engineering company providing positioning, seabed survey, ROV, and integrity inspection services to the offshore oil and gas industry from a head office and workshop in Shekou, Shenzhen. The business is structured as an equity joint venture between China Oilfield Services Limited, a subsidiary of CNOOC, and Fugro Consultants International of the Netherlands, bringing together domestic offshore operating experience with a worldwide subsea technology platform.
Service capability covers field exploration positioning, seabed and pipeline route survey, drill support, and the inspection, repair, and maintenance of subsea facilities during production. Marine work for shipowners and offshore operators includes hatch cover ultrasonic tightness testing, hull ultrasonic thickness gauging, watertight integrity verification, non-destructive testing, and underwater inspection of hulls, sea chests, rudders, propellers, jackets, conductors, anchor chains, and other submerged assets. Operations are supported by a fleet of thirteen ROVs spanning observation, work-class, and heavy-duty deepwater units, including the FCV4000 four-thousand-metre work-class vehicle developed in-house, which has completed offshore field verification on subsea cable inspection and conductor slot inspection assignments.
COFG employs more than two hundred personnel and is recognised by the principal classification societies, including the American Bureau of Shipping, Bureau Veritas, China Classification Society, and DNV, for routine underwater survey and integrity inspection work. The Shekou base gives shipowners and oil and gas operators direct access to the Pearl River Delta and the wider South China Sea offshore field clusters, with mobilisation reach to other coastal Chinese terminals when ROV-supported in-water survey is required.
