Marine services cover life-saving appliance periodical testing, fire-fighting equipment checks, lifeboat and rescue boat servicing, liferaft servicing, fire extinguisher recharge, inspection of fixed CO2, foam, and water-spray fire-fighting systems, fire hose and hydrant testing, and breathing apparatus, EEBD, and SCBA maintenance. The team also performs hatch cover ultrasonic tightness testing, pressure vessel inspection, hull ultrasonic thickness gauging, watertight integrity verification, and non-destructive testing for routine and unscheduled class surveys. A high-technology laboratory at the Zhongshan site supports valve testing, materials evaluation, and stress testing, in cooperation with strategic partners including the Guangdong Special Equipment Inspection Institute and the Beijing Institute of Technology.
Work delivered through BV-Fairweather is supported by the Bureau Veritas global classification network, with field recognition under ABS, BV, and ClassNK among the principal class regimes for ship survey work. The Zhongshan facility is part of Bureau Veritas China, which traces its origins to 1828 and operates through more than 1,600 offices and laboratories worldwide. The Greater Bay Area location gives shipowners access to engineering coverage at the ports of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Hong Kong, and adjacent yards.
