Atlas Marine Technology (China) Co., Ltd. is a Chinese marine engineering and technical service company based in Jiangyin City on the Yangtze River, within easy reach of the shipyards, repair docks, and equipment makers concentrated between Shanghai and Nanjing. The team supports international shipowners, ship managers, and equipment integrators with a broad portfolio of vessel inspection, retrofit project management, and marine equipment trade activities across Chinese ports.
Hull ultrasonic thickness gauging is delivered for bulk carriers, tankers, container ships, and offshore tonnage during intermediate, special, and continuous class surveys, using calibrated digital equipment and structured reporting workflows. Underwater inspection and in-water survey work complements the gauging programme, covering hulls, sea chests, rudders, propellers, and submerged appendages, often timed to avoid interruption of trading schedules. Beyond these core services, the workshop also supports ballast water treatment and exhaust gas cleaning system retrofits, three-dimensional shipboard laser scanning, asbestos and inventory of hazardous materials surveys, conversion and newbuild supervision, and engineering and turnkey project delivery for shipyards and operators.
The Atlas team holds DNV and Lloyd's Register approvals for thickness measurement work on ships and offshore units, and operates a quality management system certified to ISO 9001:2015 and the parallel GB/T 19001-2016 national standard. The Yangtze Delta location gives engineers practical access to Jiangyin, Nantong, Zhangjiagang, Shanghai, Ningbo, and other neighbouring ports for short-notice attendance, while the project management group coordinates assignments at more distant Chinese yards when survey campaigns require it. International coordination is handled through the Jiangyin head office and a network of trusted technical partners overseas.
